Janet S. McLeod

Transformation with Kindness, Caring and Compassion.

Janet McLeod is a well known “psych guide” specializing in Clinical and Community Psychology. Her practice stands upon three central approaches: individual, relational, and community. She is a Registered Psychologist, a Certified Hakomi Therapist, a Family Constellation Practitioner and focuses on Clinical and Health Psychology.

Focusing on realistic

and attainable goals, you will be in an atmosphere that is collaborative and relaxed as you travel through this therapeutic journey. Your care is specifically suited for you and your needs.

You will likely find her in jeans and a T-shirt, maybe even sporting her trusty finger puppets. Foundational to her practice, Janet values approachability and the community-building nature of the shared human experience…

From helping you find greater life purpose

or navigate the complexity of interpersonal relationships to Trauma Informed Peer Support and mentorship programs, Janet is deeply passionate about guiding you on your journey through exploration, discovery, and healing.

Janet draws upon a wide breadth of education and experience as well as a diverse repertoire of methods: Mindful Body Psychotherapy (Certified Hakomi Therapist), EMDR, PolyVagal Theory, Indigenous wisdom woven with Myth and Stories. Book and wisdom - through life experience - come together to create a magical space and connection to engage in your transformational change.

In addition to her person-to-person work, Janet connects in the community to guide mountain professionals to modulate and heal trauma, loss and critical stress injuries.

‘How do you do the work you do..?’ is a frequent question asked of her. In her bones, Janet knows the terrain of recovery as a “thriver” from PTSD. This alchemy of training and experiential wisdom come together so she can assist clients to move “stuck” memories into the present tense. This creates space for people’s nervous systems to regulate, their limbic system back to a “felt sense” of safety within community, and ultimately, to reignite each person’s human spirit to re-member their unique and greater purpose.

Expanding the boundaries of traditional, western psychology, Janet strives to shift the dialog surrounding mental health in both one-on-one and community-based settings.

Her creative, experiential practice is entirely based on you.

It’s your journey; Janet is simply your guide.
